The North Carolina Arboretum is excited to offer a free, special lecture event with world-renowned lecturer, author and horticulturist, Dr. Allan Armitage. Join us on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Education Center Auditorium at The North Carolina Arboretum to listen to Dr. Armitage's talk, "Tales from the Garden - Stories Your Teacher Never Taught You."
This event is suited for everyone, no matter how deep your horticulture knowledge may be. As part of the lecture, Dr. Armitage will discuss his latest autobiography, “It’s Not Just About The Hat – the Unlikely Journey of a Plantsman.” This personal memoir depicts Dr. Armitage’s unlikely trajectory as a shy boy from a quiet neighborhood of Montreal to a world renowned plantsman, speaking across the United States, Canada and abroad. The evening will conclude with a personal book signing with Dr. Armitage; the Arboretum will have books for sale.
Seating is limited and you must RSVP to attend. To register, please click here. A $10 donation is always welcome.
The Savory Thyme Cafe will be open for light dinner options before the event.
