I absolutely adore how this book is laid out. The format gets an A+++ from me. There are so many horticulture books that I would love to read if they were laid out like this!
I have only been gardening for about five years, and I am not a specialty cut flower grower, but I do love growing many of the flowers in this book. This is such a helpful field guide for folks like myself who just need a quick, reliable reference to answer seemingly simple questions. When should I start seeds for sunflowers or cosmos or poppy’s? If you Google it, you’ll get an infinite number of answers from inexperienced folks. I can take a quick peek in my field guide, and get that answer - and KNOW that it’s backed by someone who actually knows what they’re talking about! Dr A is a titan in the horticulture world. He and Kelly Garcia have jam packed this book with so much helpful information.
